Lower Fort Garry is one of the oldest stone fur trading posts still standing in North America. It was built in the 1830's as an administrative centre and trans-shipment post for the Hudson's Bay Company. Today these original buildings look as they did in the 1850's, and inside you may witness the tasks, custom and pastimes of the officers and servants of the Hudson's Bay Company.
The site is on Hwy. # 9, 32 km north of Winnipeg.
